Afghans have lost five wickets with only 78 runs on the board against Bangladesh’s 267. Winning the toss at Manuka Oval in Canberra on Wednesday, skipper Mashrafe chose to bat first as his openers made a decent start. Mirwais Ashraf then struck twice in quick succession, as openers Tamim Iqbal (19) and Anamul Haque (29) were baffled by the Afghan`s bowling. Soumya Sarkar and Mahmudullah then added 50 in the third wicket partnership. Finally Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim helped Bangladesh get the grip. Mushfiq hit 71 in just 56 balls while Shakib blasted 63 off 51 deliveries. Both of them hit six fours and one six. Mashrafe contributed 14 in 9 balls to reach a comfortable score of 267, being all out in the last ball of the innings.
