Police launched ‘Operation Strikeout’ on a militant hideout at Comilla’s Kotbari on Friday.
A SWAT and a bomb-disposal team joined counter-terror police and RAB personnel who were surrounding the house at 8am.
Detectives believe the multiple militant operatives inside the house are armed with explosives.
Earlier, section 144 had been enforced in the area surrounding the house cordoned off since Wednesday. Gas and power supply had also been cut off.
Movement of general people has been restricted within two kilometers of the building as well as vehicle movement from Bishaw road to Kotbari area was barred.
Shafikul Islam, police’s Deputy Inspector General for Chittagong range, was present at the site. The media will be briefed after the raid is completed.
