Case filed against 22 GP officials in Ctg

A case has been lodged with a Chittagong court against 22 officials of private telecom company Grameenphone (GP) for cheating customers by deceiving short messaging system offers.

Chittagong Bar lawyer SHM Habibur Rahman Azad on Wednesday filed the case under Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory act.

Rajib Shetty, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Grammenphone, is the prime accused of the case.

The others accused are - Sharif Ahmed, Ahmed Monjur- ud- Doula, Kazi Mohammad Shahed, Mainur Rahman Bhuyan, Mainul Qader, Monjur- ud- Doula, Sayed Talat Kamal and 15 others unnamed.

Plaintiff Habibur Rahman’s lawyer Sheikh Ifthekhar Saimum Chowdhury said that court has already given an order to the concerned official to record the case.
