ICT seeks info on Musa’s alleged involvement in war crimes

An official of International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) said that investigation against business tycoon Musa Bin Shamsher’s alleged involvement in crimes against humanity during liberation war in 1971 was going on.“We will sue Musa if his alleged involvement in crimes against humanity is proved,” senior officer Sanaul Haque of the investigation agency told journalists at a press conference on Wednesday.ICT held the press conference to disclose the probe report against nine alleged war criminals from Mymensingh.To reply to a query on whether or not Musa’s named was included in allegation books at investigation level, he said, “At investigation level, his name wasn’t included in complain register, but it will be done if evidence is found.”Without giving any timeline when the investigation would come to end, the officer said, “We go forward accordance with facts and I have no right to give any timeline.”Mentioning that probe is going on against many people, he said, “We are also conducting investigation against one of the trustees of Hamdard.”Local freedom fighters in Faridpur alleged that the business tycoon was known as “Nula Musa” during liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971.Musa Bin Shamsher, familiar as an arms dealer, is in-law of Awami League presidium member Sheikh Selim. His son Boby Hazzaz was the advisor of Jatiyo Party’s chairman and former president HM Ershad.
