The body of a police official was found hanging from the ceiling fan at his house in the residential area of the police station on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as ANM Abdullah Al Hasan, officer-in-charge of Gabtoli Model Police Station of Bogra.
He joined Gabtoli model police station on February 6 this year. He hails from Kodomtola village of Rajapur union under Boraigram upazila in Natore.
Confirming the matter to the Jagonews24.com, Sanatan Chakraborty, Bogra Additional Superintend of Police, said that, they recovered and rushed him to Gabtoli upazila health complex where the doctor Amayatul Hasin declared him dead.
“His body was kept at upazila health complex and later sent to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital for autopsy,” he added.
