Jago News becomes Bangladesh’s first HTTPS online portal

Jagonews24.com is the country’s first online news portal that added Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secured (HTTPS) layer to provide readers with safe and secure content.

The new system will enable all the data of the portal remain safe while readers’ privacy will be secured. 

HTTPS is the safe version of Hyper Text Transfer Protocol that unites the data digitally and transfers this to online server from user device after maintaining the privacy.

Terming this a breakthrough, Jago News Chief News Editor Mohiuddin Sarker said: “The data security is the very important issue in digital world. To ensure the security, HTTPS are being used in many renowned websites.”

“We believe that our main responsibility to protect the security of the readers. Now outsiders can not track the activities our readers,” he added.

Jagonews24.com is one of fastest growing online news portal in Bangladesh. It has already won trust of Bengali readers. Millions of readers from 173 countries visit the portal regularly. The portal also runs a English version.
