Chittagong district police in a series of overnight drives arrested 70 persons including a Jamaat activist from different Upazilas of the district on Wednesday night.Abdul Awal, Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) of Chittagong district, said police detained 70 persons including a Jamaat activist from different upazilas of the district for their alleged involvement in sabotage acts and vandalism.Police also recovered 1316 pieces of contraband yaba tablets and 15 litres of country-made liquors during the drives.The detainees also include 62 arrest warrantees and seven accused in regular cases, he said.
