Popular social networking site Facebook rejected the proposal to sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement as Bangladesh police wanted to sign with this to get some information about cyber crime.AKM Shahidul Hoque, Inspector General of Police, said this on Tuesday while briefing to journalists after ending a three-day conference with the regional police chiefs conference in Dhaka.“Facebook authority also expressed their desire to know different problems about the social networking site and they will take step in this regard”, said the police boss.Police chiefs and other law enforcement agencies from 15 countries, including host Bangladesh, attended in a three-day conference.The other participating countries are - Afghanistan, Australia, Bhutan, Brunei, China, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, South Korea, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.Besides, high officials of Interpol, Facebook, American IGCI and FBI, and ASEANPOL and International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) participated in the conference.
