Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sayeed Khokon today assured of taking up legal actions against those responsible for the collapse of a girder of the under-construction flyover in Malibagh rail gate area."No mercy would be shown to those responsible for the collapse incident," he told newsmen while visiting the spot in Malibagh area where the incident took place killing a worker and wounding two more in the early hours of today.The mayor said a three-member committee was formed headed by Mouchak-Malibagh Flyover Project Supervisor Engineer Abul Kalam Azad to look into the accident.Khokon assured of bearing treatment cost of the wounded and providing financial help to the victim’s family members.A worker was killed and two others, including an engineer of the project, were injured after a girder of an under-construction flyover fell on them in Malibagh rail gate area.The injured were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.Source: BSS
