UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan said the enrolment of students at tertiary level in the country is nearly 3.2 million while it will reach 4.1 million by 2026.“There are huge numbers of young people in the country. Bangladesh will turn into an economically advanced country, if they are given quality education with ICT skill,” he told the inaugural function of a four-day workshop here, a press release of UGC said.The workshop titled “Developing a Core Team for Guiding IQAC, QA Activities and Curriculum Design” at the UGC auditorium.Prof Mannan said, “A good progress has been made in the expansion of higher education in the country. Now we have to focus on enhancing quality higher to create skilled workforce.”He urged authorities of both public and private universities to general new knowledge and intensify research works for improving standard of education.UGC member Professor Dr. M. Shah Nowaz Ali, Senior Operations Officer of World Bank Dr. Md.
