A primary school teacher was gunned down by some miscreants over previous enmity at Coxesbazar on Wednesday morning.The incident took place at Mohammad Sharifpara under Eidgarh union parishad of Ramu upazila in the district. The deceased was identified as Nurus Sofa, 30, assistant teacher of Eidgarh Borobil Government Primary School. Nurun Nabi, brother of the deceased Sofa, has also received bullet injury in the incident. He was admitted to Ramu Health Complex.Nurun Nabi said miscreants entered the room breaking the door around 5 am. They shot Nurus Sofa while he was sleeping. Later, miscreants also shot him in leg as he screamed.Confirming the incident, Abdul Majid, officer-in-charge (OC) of Ramu Police Station, said the body was sent to Coxesbazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
