Professor Dr. Muhammad Fayyaz Khan, an icon of electric & energy sector, was appointed as pro-Vice Chancellor at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) on Tuesday, says a press release.After joining Professor Fayyaz Khan as pro-vice chancellor, Prof. Dr. Golam Samdani Fakir; vice chancellor of GUB; Md. Shahid Ullah, Treasurer; Lt. Gen. Md. Mainul Islam (Retd.), Registrar; Professor Dr. Golam Ahmed Faruqui, Dean of Faculty of Business Studies; Professor. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman, Dean of Faculty of Science and Engineering and all GUB family congratulated him.After graduation in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Bangladesh university of Engineering & technology (BUET), he joined as a lecturer in the EEE Department of BUET in the year 1974 and was subsequently promoted to Assistant Professor in the year 1977. He then joined as an Electrical substation testing & commissioning Engineer in the Electrical Network Transmission section under Ministry of Electricity & Water, Govt. of Kuwait up to 1981.In 1981 he joined as Head of Electrical section, Jeddah water works under Ministry of Agriculture & Water, Govt. of Saudi Arabia. he joined as a Faculty member, in the EEE Department, University of Bahrain In 1990 and served up to 1996.Dr. Khan returned to Bangladesh and served different Universities in Bangladesh as Faculty/Head of EEE department. The Universities are: Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology (AUST), The University of Asia Pacific (UAP), and United International University (UIU).
