A mobile court fined about 75 people for crossing road at Natun Bazar in Badda instead of using foot over-bridges, which is a violation of traffic rules.Under supervision of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Traffic North Zone executive magistrate Mashiur Rahman conducted the mobile court to stop jaywalking and ensure safety for pedestrians.The drive began at 11:00am and continued till 1.00pm on Monday.“Making the people conscious about traffic laws is our main objective,” DMP Traffic North Zone ADC Nazmul Alom told jagonews24.com.Magistrate Mashiur Rahman said that a total of 75 people were fined Tk4,200 for not using foot over-bridges.The range of fine was from Tk50 to a maximum of Tk200 under penal code section No. 290.
