A leader of ruling Awami League (AL) in Noakhali unit was gunned down in attack by miscreants at 12am on Sunday.The deceased was identified as Abul Hashem, president of ward No-4 of Undarchar union unit of AL and son of Abu Taher, a resident of the same village.Confirming the matter to Jagonews24.com, Anwar Hosen, officer-in-charge of Noakhali Model Police Station, a group of miscreants swooped on the house of Hashem at the dead of night and opened fire, leaving him injured.Later he was rushed to Noakhali General Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
