A top leader of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) was killed in an alleged gunfight with police in the wee hours of Thursday in Bogra.The incident took place at Jamnagar area of Bhabanipur union in Sherpur upazila of the district.The deceased was identified as Amijul Islam alias Alamin alias Roni, 23, chief operational commander of northern JMB.Asaduzzaman, Superintendent of Bogra Police, confirmed the matter to the Jagonews24.com.
