Renowned ‘Amin Jewellers’ has honored the country’s 27 noted veterans in recognition of their significant contributions to their own fields to mark its golden jubilee. Amin Jewellers handed over the awards to the country’s 27 intellectuals through a splendid programme at the Hall of Fame of Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in the capital today (Saturday).Cultural Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, attended the function as the chief guest while Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, and former Member of Parliament and Chairman of Amin Jewellers Quazi Sirazul Islam were also present as special guests.Each of the awardees has received an honorarium of Tk 3 lakh, a medal (made with 2 bhori gold) a crest and an uttorio.
