Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader, MP, here today said BNP has no capacity to thwart next general election.“Even if BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia would be unfit for the election by the court, the party will not be able to resist the election,” he said reacting to the BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s warning of thwarting election yesterday.He made this observation while replying to a question of journalists after inaugurating a three-day Rajshahi Divisional Digital Innovation Fair- 2017 at Rajshahi College playground as chief guest.Obaidul Quader said if Khaleda Zia was convicted by the court she would be unfit for the election. General people will accept the court verdict. If BNP will disobey the verdict people will resist the party. BNP has no ability to resist the election. They couldn’t in January 5, 2014 and will not do the same in future, he added.Earlier, addressing the opening session of the digital fair minister Quader said digital system has happen a silent revolution in the country. The country is gradually being digitized and urged the party leaders and workers to become smart through the best uses of the digital facilities.Divisional Commissioner’s Office organized the fair displaying latest ICT products, multi-media classroom, mobile banking and e-learning items through around 65 stalls.State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam and State Minister for ICT Junaid Ahmed Polak addressed the ceremony as special guests with Divisional Commissioner-in-Charge Munir Hossain in the chair.Minister Obaidul Quader said the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working sincerely for reaching all services to the doorsteps of the people in a hassle-free manner.The common people have started getting digital services like e-governance, e-education, e- agriculture, e-health and other e-services at the union, upazila and district levels.
