At least five activists were injured in a clash between the supporters of mayoral candidate of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Awami League (AL) on Tuesday noon in Kuakata of Patuakhali district.Injures are Rafikul Islam, 30, Dulal Hawladar, 25 and remaining others identity could not be known immediately.All of them were sent to Kuakata Hospital, it is learnt.It is alleged that, the supporters of AL mayoral candidate attacked BNP supporters when they were walking at Melapara area. At that time five activists of both candidates were injured.Sub Inspector of Kuakata Air Police Outpost Sanjoy said, on information police rushed to the spot and took the situation under control. The situation is normal now, he added.
