Different organization including few wing of ruling party Awami League on Tuesday demanded immediate trail of Khaleda Zia, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) for her questioning on number of liberation war martyrs.The activists of different organization took their position at Gulshan-2 premises and staged demonstration chanting by slogan against Khaleda Zia at 10am.According to source, around two thousands activists led by acting president of Ekattorer Khatok Dalal Nirmul Committee Shahriar Kabir chalked out their stage procession in protest of BNP chairperson statement. Later police obstructed them when they were trying to go Khaleda Zia’s political office at Gulshan.In this connection officer-in-charge of Gulshan Police Station Sirajul Islam told Jagonews24.com that, additional police were deployed in front of the Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office. Police are prepared to control untoward situation, he added.Shairul Kabir Khan, Media wing official of Khaleda Zia told Jagonews24.com that, we didn’t know why additional police were deployed in front of the Khaleda Zia’s political office.It is mentionable that, on December 21, Khaleda – in her first public address in more than a year – said ‘there are controversies over how many were martyred in the Liberation War.’
