BGMEA threatens to paralyze the country

Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) president Atiqul Islam threatened to paralyze the country if the political parties do not initiate to end the political stalemate immediately. He urged the political parties not to play with country’s economy so that they can run their businesses smoothly. Atikul said these after winding up the token hunger-strike program in front of BGMEA Bhaban at Karwan Bazar on Saturday.   The business leader also observed that the prevailing political crisis should be politically solved immediately. He said, “Please do not attack on us as none will be able to control the situation if we come on the street.” Earlier in the day, two cocktails were hurled at the protest program, organized by the people involved in readymade and textile sectors in front of BGMEA building in the city that blast left two injured.
