Envoys of Canada, Britain and Australia today reiterated their appreciation for Bangladesh`s humanitarian assistance to Rohingya refugees and supported Dhaka`s call urging Myanmar to create environment for their quick return.Witnesses and officials said the three envoys earlier arrived at this southeastern sea resort town of Cox`s Bazar and interacted with Rohingyas, visiting several registered and unregistered camps of theirs at Ukhia upazila."Bangladesh Government took the right decision in giving Rohingyas shelter in the country," Canadian High Commissioner Benoit-Pierre Laramie said as newsmen here approached the envoys after their visits to the camps.British High Commissioner Alison Blake said his country supported Dhaka`s call asking Myanmar to create an atmosphere in their Rakhine state for returning the refugees.Australian High Commissioner Julia Niblett said international campaigns should be intensified further so the "Rohingyas could return to their home".Officials said the three envoys stayed with the Rohingyas for some two hours when the refugees described the intensity of persecutions by Myanmar forces that forced them to flee their homes.Source: BSS
