Bangladesh Coast Gaurd (BCG) West Zone arrested 12 fishermen and recovered 4400 kgs of Shark from a engine boat at Harinpala Echo park area in the river Baleswar in Sundarbans last night, reports BSS.Operation officer of BCG West Zone Lt. Commander M Fariduzzaman said, on secret information, a special team of BCG conducted a raid on the river Baleswar and arrested the Fishermen while they were netting shark around 19.30 pm last night.“We seized 4400 kgs of shark from the boat after searching.The patrol team handed over them to Vandaria Forest Office in presence of Upazila Nirbahi Officer(UNO) and Environment and Forest Department Officer.A case was filed with local police station in this connection.
