At least seven people were killed and fifteen others injured when a speedy truck hit a local vehicle (Chander Gari) at Alutila area in Khagrachari at 11.15am on Friday. The death toll may be increased. Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. Hearing the news, local lawmaker Kujendra Lal Tripura, Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Abul Amin and Matiranga Upazila Nirbahi Officer BM Mashiur Rahman rushed to the spot. Confirming the matter to the Jagonews24.com, Shahadat Hosen Titu, officer-in-charge of Matiranga Police Station, told that, they detained the truck drive and sized the truck in cooperation with local people.
