One was killed and five others were injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Baniarchalai area of Gazipur on Sunday morning.The deceased was identified as Babu, 36, a microbus passenger. Police recovered the body and vehicle but, the truck driver managed to flee.The injured were admitted to local hospital.According to police, the accident occurred when a microbus collided head-on with a sand-laden truck from opposite direction at 5 am, leaving him dead on the spot and five others critically injured.
