All the branches of scheduled banks and financial institutions will remain open on December 31 in the areas where Pourasava elections will be held.The bank holiday in those areas will be on Friday (January 1, 2016) instead of December 30, 2015, said a circular of Bangladesh Bank(BB).BB said this decision was taken for the convenience of closing the annual transaction, as all the branches of scheduled banks and financial institutions will be closed on the pourasava election day, December 30.On the occasion of year-ending bank holiday, transactions at the Bangladesh Bank and other scheduled banks will remain closed.
