An assistant sub inspector (ASI) was suspended after police administration identified 13 cops as defaulters for torturing two journalists of a private television channel. "We identified 13 cops after seeing video footages of the incident and suspended one of them for torturing journalists," deputy commissioner Maruf Hossain Sarder of Ramna division told BSS.ATN news reporter Kazi Ahsan Bin Didar and cameraperson Abdul Alim came under police attack in Shahbagh area in the city while they were covering the hartal imposed by National Committee to Protect Oil, Gas, Mineral Resources, Power and Ports in protest against the Rampal Power Plant Project. Preparation is underway to lodge a complaint to this end.
