Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain has said that Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) will demolish BGMEA building in the capital’s Hatirjheel, if the BGMEA does not do so within 90 days.The High Court ordered Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) to demolish its building at its own cost. Otherwise RAJUK will demolish BGMEA complex after passing three month. The BGMEA authority must pay demolition cost, said the minister.The minister made the remark while visiting Gulshan-Banani-Baridhara lake development project.Criticizing the previous government for occupying lake, water bodies the minister said that the lakeside field was occupied by the ruling era of Ziaur Rahaman, Khaleda Zia and Ershad. Their ministers and MPs built houses on the lands. We can’t evict them due to some crisis, he added.
