Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Tuesday said Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) will continue their activities as per its own rules. He made the remark while talking to journalists after distributing warm clothes among the cold wave stricken poor and homeless people at Shahnuri Model High School of Moghbazar in the capital.“Rab didn’t cooperate with the criminals who were involved in the seven murder case; rather they helped to arrest the criminals,” he said.He also said that the elite force would continue their activities as it was formed.“If anyone breaks the rules, he or she will be brought to justice,” he said. The comment came one day after a Naryanganj court sentenced death penalty to 26 men including expelled Rab 11 camp commander Lt Col Tareq. The convicted claimed his confessional statement in the court that he gave the information of seven murders to the Rab headquarters.
