Akheri Munajat (concluding prayers) of the first phase of Biswa Ijtema, will be offered on Sunday. The Munajat will start anytime between 11 am and 11:30 am.Bangladesh Railway will operate 21 special trains on different routes so that people can go to the Ijtema venue to take part in the Akheri Munajat.Thousands of devotees, both from home and abroad, have gathered at the congregation venue and are taking part in the prayers and discussions.The three-day long first phase of Bishwa Ijtema began on the bank of the River Turag at Tongi in Gazipur on Friday.Tablighi Jamaat has been organising Biswa Ijtema, also called the World Muslims’ Congregation, every year since 1946. In 2011, the organisers had split the congregation into two phases to deal with overcrowding, ensure better management and security.
