Matthias Gelber, a world-renowned green activist called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique on Saturday at his office of the university.Director of the Institute of Energy of the university Professor Saiful Huque, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of US Software Limited Lutfor Rahman, Managing Director of Pacific Solar and Renewable Energy Limited Ibrahim Lodi, Senior Advisor of Catalyzing Clean Energy in Bangladesh Engineer SM Mahmud Hassan and Director of BD Technology Limited Engineer Humayun Kabir were present on the occasion.During the meeting they discussed development of education and research on renewable energy at the university as well as solar energy sector in Bangladesh.They stressed the need for creating awareness among the people in this regard.Matthias Gelber expressed his keen interest to work together with DU authorities for promoting solar energy sector in Bangladesh.
