Speakers at Udichi Shilpigoshthi`s cultural conference on Friday underscored the need for continuing movement against the militancy, terrorism, religious dogmatism and imperialism.‘Communalism and imperialism both are enemies of humanity. The nasty pictures of communalism is seen in almost everywhere in the world. The unity of anti-communal progressive forces is a must to uproot the communalism and militancy from the society,’ Udichi Vice-President Professor Badiur Rahman said.He was presenting a keynote paper at a seminar on ‘Communalism in South Asia: Anti-imperialism Cultural Movement’ at Shilpakala Academy Jatiya Natyasala seminar room on the second day of a three-day cultural conference.Chaired by Udichi President Kamal Lohani, the seminar was attended by Educationist Professor Shafiuddin Ahmed, Communist Party Presidium Member Haider Akbar Khan Rono, Pragati Lekhak Sangha Executive President Poet Golam Kibria Pinu, Udichi Vice-President Dr Chandan Das and Udichi Central Executive Committee Member Dr Rafiqul Hasan Jinnah and others.Kamal Lohani said Udichi wants to build a platform in the South Asia to fight communalism, class-conflict and imperialism.
