This is the 13th consecutive year that country`s leading procesed food producing and exporting company PRAN Group has won national export trophy. The conglomerate achieved two trophies for FY 2013-14 for "playing vital role in export segment".Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina handed over the trophies and certificates to Eleash Mridha, Managing Director of PRAN and Kamruzzaman Kamal, Director of Marketing at PRAN-RFL Group at an award giving ceremony held at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital Dhaka on Sunday.PRAN Agro Limited and PRAN Foods Limited obtained the Gold and Bronze trophies for FY 2013-14 in agro processing sector. The Government of Bangladesh awarded ‘Best National Export Trophy’ to PRAN as the highest exporter in agro processing sector for the last 13 consecutive years.PRAN Group is the country’s leading food processor and exporter. It started exporting its agro processing products to France in 1997. At present, the group is exporting it wide range of products to 134 countries worldwide.
"We are very delighted to get the best exporter award. It will inspire us to do better in upcoming days" Kamruzzaman Kamal said.
"We got the award as our world-wide consumers trust on our brands," he added.PRAN has a big market in India and Middle Eastern countries. The conglomerate is constantly working to expand its export market in Africa & other region.PRAN Group got the gold trophy under highest export earning company at agro processing sector in FY 1999-2000.
