At least 8 people were killed and another 13 injured in a road accident in Sirajganj.The incident took place at Bogra-Nogorbari highway of Garadoho under the Shahjadpur upazila in the district on Tuesday morning.Identities of 5 people among killed 8 could be known immediately. The deceased are- Anjona, 25, Ajufa Begum, 60, Mokbul Hosen, 40, Bonna Khatun, 10 and Subhan Miah, 40. They were sent to Shahjadpur and Ullapara Health Complex.Officer-in-charge of Shahajadpur Police Station, Rezaul Karim told Jagonews24.com that, an oil laden lorry collided head on with a local vehicle ‘Nosimon’ from coming opposite position. At this time 5 were killed in the spot and 13 injured severely. On information police and fire service members rushed to the spot and recovered the victim.In this connection, UNO of Shahjadpur upazila Shamim Ahmed told Jagonews24.com that, all of the victims were recovered after road accident immediately. Better treatment was given to severely injured people.
