BNP will hold ‘black flag’ processions across the country on Jan 5 marking “Democracy Killing Day”, said the party’s senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Riazi.He came up with the announcement at a press conference at the central party office at Nayapaltan on Friday noon.
Directing the party’s leaders and activists to observe the programme Rizvi said that black flag will be hoisted in front of party office and black badges will be worn.He also reiterated that the party will hold a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan on January 7.It is mentionable that BNP and its allies boycotted 5th January national election in 2014. The party is observing the day as “Democracy Killing Day” since then. On the other hand, the ruling party Awami League is observing as “Democracy’s Victory Day”.
