The RMG factories which were closed down due to labour unrest in Ashulia will reopen on Monday. Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters’ Association president Siddiqur Rahman made the announcement in a press conference this evening.
Last week, owners closed down 55 ready-made garment factories in Ashulia of Savar for indefinite period as the workers of the factories went on strike.The workers have been demonstrating for some days demanding higher minimum wage and job security.
