A woman, who suffered burn injuries in her face and the upper part of her body after her husband poured boiled water on her, succumbed to injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Friday morning.Sara Ahkter, 25, died around 4am, said Partha Shankar Paul, resident surgeon at the hospital’s burn unit.Sara, with 20% burn, was admitted to the burn unit on Sunday after her husband Yusuf Mohan, 35, poured hot water on her over an altercation.The couple lives in a rented house in the capital’s Hazaribagh area. Hazaribagh police station Officer-in-Charge Mir Alimuzzaman told that, a case had been filed in this connection.According to the case statement, Yusuf is a drug addict and would often torture Sara on suspicion that she had developed an affair with the landlord.
