Sangbrita Stages Recitation program on Liberation War

With a view of upholding the spirit of liberation war, Sangbrita Abritty Charcha O Bikash Kendra—a leading recitation academy, has successfully staged a recitation program on Bangladesh liberation war at Shawkat Osman Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka at 6.30 pm on Friday.Scripted by Samsuzzaman Babu and directed by AKM Shamsuddoha, the production titled “Shobuj Sharite Lal Rokter Chop”, featured a collection of selected poems written on Bangladesh liberation war by various poets.The recitation evening started with Corus performance of Shalil Chowdhury’s famous poem Shopoth.With some chorus recitations, the production also included Shadinota tumi and Tumi Bolechile by Shamsur Rahman, Chobi by Abu Hena Mostofa Kamal, Muktibahinir Jonno by Humayun Azad, Concentration camp by Rudro Mohammad Shahidullah, Shobuj Sharite Lal Rokter Chop by Maruf Raihan.The artistes who presented their poems were AKM Shamsuddoha, Nasiruddin Pitu, Happy Akhtar, Kakon Zaman, Hammad Sohag and some others. The production wrapped up with Mogniuzzaman Prince’s Solo performance of the Journal 1971 by Mohammad Moniruzzaman.The recitation program, which included a total of 27 selected poems, mesmerized poem lovers present there. The entire production moved the audience as they greeted the performers with continuous claps.
