One unidentified dacoit was killed that police claimed in a ‘gunfight’ with police at Banshkhali area in the port city on Sunday night.The gunfight took place at Kalipur union`s Gunaigari village around 1.15 am.Officer-in-charge of Banshkhali Police Station Shwapon Kumar confirmed this to Jagonews24.com.The local people say, the gunfight happened when a team of robber was trying to snatch away assets from a house in the village.At the time of robbery in the night, the locals informed the police and when police come in the village the gunfight erupted leaving six others injured in the spot including two of the police men.
