It was his first runs in Test cricket, despite making his debut against Australia in October 2014.The milestone came in Imran’s eighth Test, which is four more than the previous record for the longest wait to score a run in Test cricket. That record was shared among 12 players.Imran got off the mark with a thick edge through gully for two. He subsequently smiled and even raised his bat once he was sure he had finally got on the scoreboard. He went on to score six runs before being the last wicket to fall in Pakistan’s innings as they were bowled out for 216.The visitors currently trail New Zealand by 55 runs as the rain forced an early close of third day’s play.Source: The Express Tribune
