BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia reiterated her call for talks to reach a consensus Election Commission reforms for holding a free, fair and credible election.
The former Prime Minister made the call in a tweet message on Saturday.
“Consensus is a must to protect people’s voting rights. As such, the new Election Commission has to be formed on the basis of consensus” Khaleda said.
On 18 November, the BNP chairperson gave a set of proposals for reconstituting and strengthening Election Commission.
She also made a call to the president to hold talks with all political parties having representation in parliament.
