Prosecution seeks death for all accused of N’gonj 7-muder case

The prosecution sought the death penalty for all accused of the sensational seven-murder case in Naraynganj.

The prosecution made the plea before the District and Sessions Judge Syed Enayet Hossain after presenting arguments from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday.

Then the defence lawyers for 15 of the accused presented counter arguments and sought acquittal for their clients.

Arguments for 20 more charged in the cases will be heard on Tuesday. The court will schedule the verdict after both sides finish their statements.

Public prosecutor Wazed Ali Khokon at a press conference said the prosecution has proven all the charges including planning and materialization.

That’s why the prosecution pleaded to hang all the accused, he added.
