Five Awami League (AL) leaders of Narayanganj including incumbent Mayor Selina Haiyat Ivy and the Member of Parliament Shamim Osman have been called by the party’s high command.As per the direction of AL president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, party’s General Secretary on Sunday called them in Dhaka.AL general secretary Obaidul Quader will hold a meeting on Monday while AL president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hold a meeting on Tuesday.AL nominated Ivy as mayoral candidate in the upcoming Narayanganj city corporation polls.
