BCB to appoint Spin Coach soon

Bangladeshi spinners will get their boss very soon as Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will appoint a spin coach by December, BCB Chief Executive Officer Nizamuddin Chowdury informed.

Ruwan Kalpage, former Sri Lankan spin coach, left the job in last August and then the Tigers continue their hunting without bosses even in last series against England, when Bangladesh won their first ever Test over the giant and level the series 1-1, but they lost ODI series by 2-1 margin after a great fighting.

There was a rumor that Lankan spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan would be appointed as coach but that didn’t come true.

Nizamuddin said there is a plan to appoint a spin coach from the subcontinent.

We want to play a series in England as a part of preparation for Champions Trophy next year, he also said.

Bangladesh is supposed to play away series in New Zealand in next month, which might be challenging for the cricketers. That’s why BCB want a spin coach very soon.

Bangladesh will fly for Australia on December 10 to take part in 10-day conditioning camp. Mashrafee & co. will move to New Zealand where first ODI will take place on December 26.
