Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader said ‘Khaleda’s proposals for forming Election Commission are nothing but hollow and a mockery with the nation.’Obaidul said this while speaking at a press conference at AL president’s political office at Dhanmondi on Friday, reports BSS.Quader said the President will constitute the next EC as per provisions of the country’s constitution through a search committee and those who are creating controversies over the issue they are violating the constitution of Bangladesh achieved through a river of blood of 30 lakh martyrs. He alleged that, The BNP had prepared around 1.28 crore fake voters list before 2006 and appointed Chhatra Dal cadres as upazila election officers.The BNP has become isolated from people because of their wrong politics, so they are hatching new conspiracies to assume the state power, he also added.AL leaders Advocate Yusuf Hossain Humayun, Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, Abdur Rahman, Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Swapan, Muhibul Hasan Chowdhury Noufel, Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, Sujit Roy Nandi, Advocate Afjal Hossain, Delwar Hossain, Aminul Islam and Biplab Barua, among others, were present in the press conference.
