Newly appointed Director General (DG) of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Major General Abul Hossain took over responsibility from outgoing DG Major General Aziz Ahmed on Wednesday morning.High officials of the service greeted him when he reached the headquarters at Pilkhana, public relation officer of BGB headquarters Mohsin Raza told journalists.Before the appointment, Abul Hossain used to serve as the Military Secretary of the President.Born on March 15, 1962, Abul Hossain joined Bangladesh Military Academy in February, 1980 and was commissioned in the Engineering Corps of Bangladesh Army on December 27, 1981.He obtained graduation degree on Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He also achieved BSc degree from University of Chittagong, Masters in Defense Studies from National University, EMBA degree from American International University of Bangladesh. He completed part-1 of Master of Philosophy degree from Bangladesh University of Professionals.
