Family members of war crimes convict Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed on Tuesday met the Jamaat leader at Dhaka Central Jail.The meeting came a day after the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court rejected his plea, seeking review of its order that upheld his death sentence.Twelve members of the family met him in jail and talked for about 30-minute.Mojaheed`s younger son Ali Ahmed Mabroor confirmed this to newsmen waiting outside the jail gate."We have met him in jail and talked for around 30 minutes. He has already got informed about the rejection of his review plea," he said.The ICT-2 on July 17, 2013, sentenced Mojaheed to death for committing crimes against humanity during the War of Liberation. The Jamaat leader filed an appeal with the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on August 12, 2013.On June 16, 2015, the Appellate Division delivered its judgement, upholding the death for the commander of notorious Al Badr.The Apex Court on September 30 released the full verdict in his appeal case and on October 1 the ICT issued death warrant against Mojaheed.
