The curtain will rise on the biggest folk music festival of the subcontinent titled ‘Dhaka International Folk Festival 2016’ on Thursday.After the success of ‘Dhaka International Folk Festival 2015’, Sun Events, for the second time, is organising the three-day event.The first day’s event highlights are local bauls like Abdur Rahman Baul and Tuntun Baul, popular singer Momotaz Begom, Pakistani singer Javed Bashir and a fusion troupe named Simon Thacker’s Savara-Kanti featuring Raju Das Baul and Farida Yasmin.The program will run everyday from 6pm to 12 midnight.
