Bangladeshi Peacekeepers host free medical camp in Darfur

UNAMID peacekeepers from Bangladesh in Darfur provided free medical services to the refugee camp conducted by Bangladesh Army Medical Corp of the specialized doctors at El Geneina in Sudan recently under the supervision of Bangladesh Peacekeeping Contingent Force Reserve Company-2.More than 500 poor and downtrodden received this medical support which included ECG, sugar test and others primary health care; and distribution of medicine among the people, said an ISPR press release on Wednesday.Additionally, a number of wheelchairs, sewing-machines and educational equipments were distributed among the refugees.Urbanization and Planning Minister of Sudan government Mergani and high officials of UN visited the medical camp on November 2, the release added.Earlier, Bangladesh Peacekeeping Contingent Force Reserve Company-2 achieved good-will through providing such services among the local people, it said.Source: BSS
