The ringleader of an alleged robber gang was killed in a gunfight with police at Mukteswari village in Fultala upazila in Khulna early Tuesday.The deceased was identified as Billal Hosen, son of Aiub Ali, a resident of Jugnipasha village in the upazila.Asaduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Fultala Police Station, a police patrol team when reached the area was ambushed by a group of robbers.Police fight back, forced the robbers to retreat. Later, police recovered the body and locals identified it as Belal Hossain, he added.He was wanted in 12 cases. Four policemen were also injured in the incident. Police recovered one shooter gun, one bomb, one sharp weapon and two rounds of bullets from the spot.
