Pakistani all rounder Shahid Afridi has been replaced by Naeem Islam as the first one refused to be captain of Rangpur Riders in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).Rangpur wanted to make Afridi as captain of the team as he played record 98 T20I matches, which is the most by a single player and led his country in 43 matches.The franchise has chosen Bangladesh national team player Naeem Islam instead of Afridi as he didn’t want to lead the team.Rangpur media manager MA Baki informed basically Naeem Islam has been appointed as captain to inspire local cricketers.Naeem played his last match with national team in March 2014 but he is familiar face in domestic cricket.
